Girls Make Beats has officially launched its New York City Chapter! Housed at the new Amazon Music office in Brooklyn, Girls Make Beats is proud to now have somewhere to call home in the birthplace of Hip Hop!
In honor of women in Hip Hop, GMB had the pleasure of participating at the Lincoln Center’s Fresh Bold and So Def Symposium in collaboration with the Hip Hop Education Center. The entire day consisted of workshops, panels, performances, and enrichment activities for teens and adults all in honor of Women in Hip Hop! GMB’s founder, Tiffany Miranda, gave business and artistic developmental insight on the “Game Changers” panel alongside Shyvonne Sanganoo, Misa Hylton, Lady Byrd, and Sophia Chang while NYC Chapter Leader, Yasmin L., conducted a beat making workshop and GMB Alumni, Alana Smith, DJ’d into the nighttime half of the event. Truly an incredible way to celebrate our NYC launch!
